ULTRALIGHT ANT CHASSIS KIT
Looking for a perfect solution for a rugged, low-profile and light-weight Antweight (1 pound) robot chassis? You've just found what you need.
These Antweight Chassis are just what you need to incorporate all the components into one compact, one-piece chassis, with integrated motor supports, wheel guards, and large center bay for your electronics. A full 4 wheel drive mobility base can built for only a few ounces.
These Chassis were designed for use with the Sanyo NA-series gearmotors, usually in 4WD configuration.
Use with Li Poly Batteries the below sizes will fit and still allow room for a SOZ, Barello, or Scorpion Ant controller and one of our GWS Pico Receivers (a novakk XXL will also fit)
The 480 Mah Inertia Labs Lipoly packs fit our kits as do many batteries that are .580" thick or thinner. Here are some examples of the other Li Poly Batts that fit with plenty of room for other components:

This
whole mobility base, with receiver, LiPoly battery, speed control,
4 motors, 4 wheels, and lid can come in well under 6oz (and
under 4"x5").
We have been evolving these kit designs with all our ant weights for several
years
now and
they are tough, modular, and allow for fast repairs. Any weapon system
can
easily be bolted on.

Dual Motor F/R Speed Controllers

Barello ANT100 and ANT150 dual motor control boards
The Ant Robot Controller offers unparalleled control,
functionality and reliability for your creation with dual motor drive,
optional mixing
(single stick), exponential curve (improves controllability) and a FLIP input
that corrects motor drive output for robots that are invertible.
The ANT 100 (13.5 grams) and ANT150 both can drive two motors in forward
and reverse when hooked up to at least a two channel RC radio receiver with
futaba style conenctors (like
our GWS micro Rx).
Motors are hooked up to easy to use screw down terminals.
The ANT150 (16 grams) also has an Aux channel rated for 15A peak, 8A
continuous. Variable 0-100% power with forward stick (on on-off with switch
or button).
ANT100 Users Guide and the ANT150 Users Guide

This aluminum Ant Chassis has a base integrated into the body.
It is machined from one solid piece of 6061 Aluminum
and is a perfect balance of strength and extreme light weight. Each body kit
comes with motor mounting spacer material. This body can be run with your
own top or one of our titanium lids. All holes threaded 4-40.

Length 4.95" Width 3.86"
ABS Plastic Lids (.063") for Ultralight Ant Chassis

Lids fit both top and bottom of the Ant Chassis, and align perfectly with the pre-drilled and tapped holes. (image 1, image 2) Weight 14.4gm (.5oz)
Make sure to add a fastener set if you don't have your own fasteners already.
Fastener Set (1/4" button heads)

Tiny 4-40 fasteners. Set of 10. (These weigh 3gm total per lid)
These are the screws you need when attaching the titanium lids to your Ultralight Ant Chassis. You need 8 to fasten one lid. Rounded Button-head, to minimize the possibility of 'catching' on another bot, weapon, or floor.

Teflon Coated Heat Proof Wire Set (24awg)
We use this 24g wire for all our ant robot internals. It strips cleanly and easily, has a totally heat proof and tough teflon outer casing. This can be used for servo and general internal connections in the robot as well as wiring up the Sanyo gear motors. You get 12" of red, black, and white.
Inertia Labs 50:1 gear motor ULTRA FAST!
Special - Buy 4 and save 20%...
NOW WITH 12mm long SHAFTS!

Custom made motors that are the same size, form factor and weight of the very popular Sanyo NA series motors, NOW WITH 12mm LONG shaft, a slightly different winding and way better gear ratio that equals tons more speed. (The only physical difference is the motor contacts are on the round edges of the motor instead of the flat edsges) Using a new all metal 50:1 gear reduction these motors really make an ant move! They are wound for 4.5v (compared to the Sanyo 5v) which means when run on 3 LiPoly cells at 11.1v you get even greater speed.
Specifications at 4.5V:
50 :1
400 rpm
No load current .07 A
Stall torque 695.6 g-cm .87A
Max Output 347.8 g-cm .47A
Starting torque 800 gf-cm
True gear ratio 50:1
Size 0.47" x 0.39" x 1.14" 0.47" x 0.39" x 1.14"
Shaft 3mm D-style, 12mm long
Weight 8.4 grams (0.30 oz)
Starting current 650 mA +/- 30% 650 mA +/- 30%

As many already know these are just amazing little motors for their weight. With one at each of your four corners you are always guaranteed good traction and speed.
Specifications at 5.0 V:
NA3S 75:1 - NA1S
246 rpm
No load current 120 mA
200 g-cm load speed 184 rpm

These super-light grippy wheels are made to fit perfectly on the Sanyo NA-Series gearmotors (as well as copal motors), with just a simple slip-fit on the output shaft. They fit perfectly in the Ant Chassis, and are protected by the chassis' built-in wheel guards. We recommend a touch of glue to keep them secure, we usually use a drop of CA glue (like crazy glue).
These wheels are sold in sets of 4, and are available in smooth or treaded design. All are very grippy on most surfaces.
Please note that your rim style may vary from the photos here.
Weight: 2g (0.071oz) each or approx 8.5g /set of 4
Diameter: 24mm Width: 10mm
Through a special arrangement with GWS we have imported 6ch 75Mhz ground frequency radio systems at an amazing price. Kit comes with transmitter, 75Mhz Tx crystal in the channel of your choice (61-90 available), 9.6v Nimh battery and charger.
GWS R4PII 75 Mhz Pico Receiver

This has become our favorite ant receiver. Not only is it the least expensive one out there, its the best. It can fit in all our chassis kits flat or sideways. It works with all 75Mhz FM or PPM radios (select Futaba/JR/Airtronics below). It uses the very small single conversion UM1 crystals (sold below). The crystal and wiring orientation on this receiver make it ideal for small spaces. It can handle all the hits any ant can dish out unlike some of the synthesized receivers we have used.
CRYSTAL NOT INCLUDED (see below)
Voltage: 3.6v-7.2v and draws 5mA
Weight: 4.4gm (.16oz)
Size (without crystal or lead headers): 15.0x25.0x9.5mm (0.59"x1"x0.37"in)
(diagram image with all outside dimensions
including crystal and headers)
GWS UM1 Single Conversion Crystals

GWS UM1 Single Conversion Crystal for R4PII 75 Mhz ground freq. These are specifcally for use with our GWS pico receivers. All currently stocked cahnnels listed below.
